Hello bookworms! It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means—it’s time for WWW Wednesday! A meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words, all you have to do to join in is answer three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading
- Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira
- The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
I’m actually not quite sure what to think of Love Letters to the Dead right now. I suppose I’m not really feeling the mood to read it, but I guess I’ll see how it goes. I’m reading The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson as part of a read-along hosted by two very lovely ladies; Josie @ Josie’s Book Corner, and Aimal @ Bookshelves and Paperbacks. The read-along will be held from August 20th to September 20th, and there is a Goodreads group if you want to join. I’ve been meaning to read this book for a while, and I’m excited to have started it! So far I’m really liking it.
Recently Finished
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- Joyride by Anna Banks
- Seven Minutes in Heaven by Sara Shepard
- The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord
I finished The Night Circus earlier this week, and although it didn’t exactly blow me out of the waters, I did enjoy it. I found it to be kind of confusing though, its pacing was a bit odd for me, but still, it was a good read.
Joyride took me completely by surprise with a hooking contemporary romance story with themes of racism and family that I really enjoyed. It was a great story that I had so much fun reading!
Seven Minutes in Heaven was an interesting ending to the Lying Game series that ultimately left me satisfied, but kind of miffed that it took so long to get to the answer. But overall I liked the book and glad to finally have gotten some answers!
The Start of Me and You was another book I’m glad I picked up this week, because it is also a wonderful contemporary. I loved the characters and the story was just so cute with so many awesome themes mixed in. Emery Lord is an amazing author!
Read Next
- Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
- City of Fae by Pippa DeCosta
- Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider
- Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
- Burn For Burn by Jenny Han, Siobhan Vivian
- Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
I still haven’t gotten to the books on last week’s ‘Read Next’, Red Queen and City of Fae, so I am definitely planning on getting to those this week. I also had The Kiss of Deception on there, but I’m thinking it’s unlikely I’ll be able to get to it this week, so I left it out. I do plan on reading it sometime though! Extraordinary Means, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl as well as Burn For Burn have all been on my TBR for quite some time, I’ve been hearing a lot about them and I really want to see what they’re like! Also I’ve been on kind of a contemporary trend recently (maybe it’s a subconscious attempt on my part to prolong summer?) so these seem perfect. I’ve also been meaning to read more of Rainbow Rowell’s books, which is why I decided to add Attachments as well. I really hope I get the chance to read it, I really want to know what it’s like!
So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! This is kind of late post on my part, but I was pretty busy today and I wanted to take a bit of time to update on my reading, so here I am. I am curious about how your reading went; let me know in the comments below or link your WWW Wednesday post if you have one! ❤
Until next time!
That’s pretty much what I thought of The Night Circus too 🙂
I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of Red Queen!

I can’t wait your opinion about Mistborn trilogy. I am planning on reading the series.
I also can’t wait for your thoughts on Red Queen. It wasn’t a bad book but I think it’s overrated.
Great post! Awesome variety of books!

Great post! I felt the same way about the ending of The Lying Game series. Satisfied by the ending, but it didn’t need to take so many books to wrap that up. I’m really excited for your next reads, especially Extraordinary Means, Burn for Burn (and its ending…) and Red Queen! Happy reading Analee 😀

Great post! I am very excited for our buddy read along. I personally haven’t started the book yet, because I’ve got a book to read for review (Cloudwish) but I will get to it!
I’m excited for you to read Red Queen, I really want to see your thoughts on the book, whether you’re part of the fandom that love it, or don’t love it.
