That’s What HE Said Thursday #13 (July 09)

Hello! This is going to be a quick post, just saying. I have reviews to work on and books to read, peoples! 🙂 Anyway, it is time for another That’s What HE Said Thursday post, a meme hosted by Chapter Break. Today I’m going to be featuring a quote from Miles, of Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. I usually don’t feature books twice in a week (I used Ugly Love in this week’s Teaser Tuesday) but I am this time simply because this is the closest book to me at the moment, ha ha. (#Laziness) Anyway, on to it:

“I just don’t like being gone so much, especially knowing you’re right across the hall from where I live. It makes me want to be home all the time.”

What do you think of this little quote? Let me know in the comments below!

Got to go now, bookworms, so happy reading! Hopefully I’ll be back later with a review. 😉

That’s What HE Said Thursday #12 (July 02)

Hi there! I’m back from my day outside yesterday celebrating Canada Day with a That’s What He Said Thursday post, a meme hosted by Chapter Break. Today I’ll be featuring Gideon de Villiers, from Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier!

Ruby Red_bookcover“You have a mother?” Only when I said it did I realize what a silly question it was! For heaven’s sake!
Gideon raised one eyebrow. “What did you expect?” he asked, amused. “You thought I was an android put together by Uncle Falk and Mr. George?”

This isn’t a romantic quote or anything, it just kind of shows Gideon’s sense of humour and an interaction between Gideon and Gwyneth. 🙂

So that’s it for this very brief That’s What He Said Thursday post! Have a great Thursday!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #11 (June 18)

Hello! Today is Thursday, which means a That’s What He Said Thursday post! (A meme hosted by Chapter Break.) Today I have a little conversation between Addison and Leo, from Wash Me Away by Wendy Owens. Now, usually I don’t use the same book for a meme twice in a week (I used this book for Teaser Tuesday), but I had this bookmarked, and it’s just so cute. So here it is:

Wash Me Away“Call me Addy,” I offer.
“So informal. I do believe you might just be warming up to me.” He grins, and I think again he might be flirting. I see my uncle’s woody station wagon pull up.
I hop to my feet. “There’s my ride. I gotta go. How much do I owe you?”
“I got it. The conversation was well worth the price,” he answers, and my cheeks flush hot.
“What movie is that line from?” I question, hesitating for a moment, wishing my uncle had been late.
“No movie, only the truth,” Leo answers. “I’ll see you in class, Addy.”

Isn’t it just so cute? Their banter is just so much fun to read. Really liking this book so far, and I’m almost finished! 🙂

Happy Thursday! Gotta go now, bye!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #10 (June 11)

I’m kind of late for this, as it is almost midnight here in Canada (don’t ask what I’m doing up so late) but this is being posted a few minutes before midnight so it’s technically not Friday yet! Anyway, for this week’s That’s What He Said Thursday (a meme hosted by Chapter Break where you feature a quote from book boyfriend to his girl) I have a quote brought to you by Ryder from Proof of Forever by Lexa Hillyer. I recently finished this book and this quote is so cute! Here it is:

Proof of Forever_bookcover“It’s all right. I can’t even believe I told you. But you’re so… easy to talk to. And you’re singing my song, which is pretty sweet,” he says, turning to face her, his clouded expression softening into a smile.

-Ryder to Joy

There’s more to it of course, but it’s a bit long and I’m eager to go read sleep. 🙂 What do you think of this short, cute quote? Have you read this book? Planning to? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a great day/night!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #8 (May 28)

Aloha! Time for another That’s What He Said Thursday, a meme hosted by Chapter Break! I’m still reeling from Ignite Me’s amazingness (by Tahereh Mafi) and so here’s a quote brought to you by none other than Warner, one of the love interests in the story. (Whose review is coming soon!)

And I’ve fallen.

So hard.

I’ve hit the ground. Gone right through it. Never in my life have I felt this. Nothing like this. I’ve felt shame and cowardice, weakness and strength. I’ve known terror and indifference, self-hate and general disgust. I’ve seen things that cannot be unseen.

And yet I’ve known nothing like this terrible, horrible, paralyzing feeling. I feel crippled. Desperate and out of control. And it keeps getting worse. Every day I feel sick. Empty and somehow aching.

Love is a heartless bastard.

-Warner, Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi

Destroy Me_bookcoverThe feels, the feels! Oh my god I just about died from the feels reading this book! Isn’t this just so heartbreaking?

Come on Warner, you can do this. If Tay-Tay can, so can you. ❤

What do you think of this quote/tidbit? Have you read the Shatter Me series or this book? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below! Planning on reading the series? Also let me know! I’d love to hear from you. 🙂

Happy Thursday!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #7 (May 21)

Hiya there! It’s time for another That’s What He Said Thursday post, a meme hosted by Chapter Break. I am itching to feature a quote from Raffe, of none other than End of Days, the third book in the Penryn & the End of Days trilogy by Susan, but as I have already posted a Teaser Tuesday post with End of Days’s predecessor, World After (featuring a little convo between Penryn and Raffe),  I have decided to feature instead another of my book boyfriends, Four from the Divergent trilogy (specifically, Insurgent). Check out this little piece:

“We’re all right, you know,’ he says quietly. ‘You and me. Okay?’ My chest aches, and I nod. ‘Nothing else is all right.’ His whisper tickles my cheek. ‘But we are.”

-Insurgent by Veronica Roth, Tris & Four

Insurgent_book coverAww!! So heart-warming, don’t you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! ❤

Happy Thursday!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #6 (May 14)

So, for this week’s That’s What HE Said Thursday (a meme hosted by Chapter Break), I have brought to you a quote from The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West. 🙂

“Well, if you’re a mess then I’m a natural disaster.”

“The cutest natural disaster I’ve ever seen.”

-The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West, Gia to fill-in boyfriend

The Fill-In Boyfriend_bookcover

I would say who the fill-in boyfriend is but it might be a spoiler for some of you, so I’ll be leaving it a mystery! ❤

What do you think of this quote? Isn’t it just so cute? 😀 Let me know in the comments below!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #4 (April 30)

Last TWHST of the month! 🙂 (Press here for last week’s one.) This meme is hosted by Chapter Break, where we simply feature a favourite line from one of our book boyfriends to his heroine. Since one of the books I’m currently reading is Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, I decided to showcase a quote from Adam Kent, the love interest of our protagonist, Juliette.

‘He whispers, “You have no idea how much I’ve thought about you. How many times I’ve dreamt”-he takes a tight breath- “how many times I’ve dreamt about being this close to you.” He moves to run a hand through his hair before he changes his mind. Looks down. Looks up. “God, Juliette, I’d follow you anywhere. You’re the only good thing left in this world.” ‘

-Adam, Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Awww!!! So cute! ❤ Don’t you agree? Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this quote or the book in general. Don’t forget to link your post if you participate in this meme as well!

Happy [last] Thursday [of April]!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #3 (April 23)

Hey there! I’m on my schedule for weekly memes, and since today’s Thursday, it’s time for a That’s What He Said Thursday post (hosted by Chapter Break)!

As I most recently finished Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, I’ve decided to feature a quote from none other than Mr. Darcy! While he’s a bit too old for me, it doesn’t make his quote and less fuzzy-feeling. 🙂 Plus, I ship him and Elizabeth together, so this quote is super cute!

“In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”

-Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth, Pride and Prejudice

Aww, isn’t that just the cutest confession of love? ❤ Pride and Prejudice is among one of my favorite classic romance for good reason! I’m feeling horribly sick this morning, and am hoping to recover with a nice, comfy read and take a nap, but I’ll try to have a review on this up as soon as possible!

So what’s your featured book boyfriend’s quote for this week’s That’s What He Said Thursday? Link your post below so I can come check it out, or simply leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you!

Happy Thursday everyone! Hope your morning wasn’t as sickly as mine has been so far! 😉

That’s What HE Said Thursday #2 (April 16)

Hey there, I’m back with another TWHST post (a meme hosted by Chapter Break)! Last week I featured a swoon-worthy quote by Roth from White Hot Kiss, and while I’d love to do another one by him (he’s just awesome, what can I say?) I’ve chosen another swoon-worthy quote, this time from Crescendo, the second book of Hush Hush which I recently finished. 🙂

“Being with you never felt wrong. It’s the one thing I did right.”

-Patch, Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Press image for full and clear view.

There are so many other romantic quotes I could put in, but I’ll go with this one. Simple, but totally swoon-worthy! ❤

So what do you think? Swoon-worthy? If you’ve read Hush, Hush or this book, be sure to comment your thoughts on Patch Cipriano, or the book in general. I’d love to hear from you! If you haven’t read this, and are interested, then go eat it now! I’ll be here when you get back. 😉

So that’s it for this week’s That’s What He Said Thursday! 🙂

Happy eating!

That’s What HE Said Thursday #1 (April 09)

Hey there! As promised, I have managed to post my first That’s What He Said Thursday post (a feature hosted by Chapter Break)! Woo-hoo! 😀 Let’s get started!

So, I have recently finished re-reading White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and as a result I have seductive Roth still in my head! Since Roth refuses to budge, I have decided to do my That’s What He Said Thursday post on a quote from him.

To refresh memories, for That’s What He Said Thursday (let’s shorten it to TWHST), all we have to do is post a favorite line from our book boyfriend to his heroine. These are direct quotes from dialogue in a book, and can be anything he said, not only something romantic.

“I lost myself the moment I found you.”
―Roth to Layla, White Hot Kiss by Jennifer Armentrout

Totally swoon-worthy, don’t you think? And knowing Roth’s background, it definitely changes everything! 😉

If you’ve read White Hot Kiss, be sure to comment your thoughts on this line and your favorite Roth quotes! If you haven’t read White Hot Kiss, get off your seat and get it. Now. And if you already have it, then read/eat it. Now. Before that, of course, comment your thoughts as well on this line and its swoon-worthiness. 😉

Happy eating!
