Top Ten Tuesday #26 (October 27th) | Halloween Freebie: Top 10 Creepy Covers

It’s Tuesday once again, and that means it’s time for a Top Ten Tuesday, a meme from the wonderful bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is a Halloween freebie:

Halloween themed freebie — your choice (ie. 10 best ghost stories, 10 things that scare you in books, 10 literary Halloween costumes, 10 vampire novels, 10 books that WILL scare you, 10 non-scary books for Halloween, 10 scariest covers, etc.)

I’ve decided to go with top 10 creepy covers! There are so many of them out there, I decided to spotlight a few and make a list out of it. I haven’t read any of these, by the way, so I’m not going to be going into much detail about why I chose the covers… not that I should need much explaining, if the covers are doing their job! (Also, I’m warning you. Some of these are pretty creepy, so if you do somehow get freaked out, please don’t come and murder me out of revenge? I’m only half-joking. :P) Let’s get on with it, shall we?

1. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

Anna Dressed in Blood
Has a very creepy look to it for sure!

2. Asylum by Madeleine Roux

Asylum
Although this doesn’t have me quivering in fear, still a very creepy cover!

3. The Fury by Alexander Gordon Smith

The Fury
Oh boy. Getting the chills already!

4. Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick

Ashes
I don’t even want to imagine how I’d feel having this book laying around somewhere… #notsafe

5. Engines of the Broken World by Jason Vanhee

Engines of the Broken World
This isn’t going to end well, I just know it.

6. The Suffering by Rin Chupeco

The Suffering
A very dark, mysterious feel to this one!

7. The Possession of Cassie Quinn by Kathryn Knutson

The Possession of Cassie Quinn
Getting the chills again…

8. Dead City by Joe McKinney

Dead City
Yep, this is one zombie book I’m definitely not picking up. Not that I have many zombie books on my TBR in the first place, but you know what I mean.

9. Shutter by Courtney Alameda

Shutter
This is more of a different kind of creepy than the other ones I’ve named above, I’d say, but definitely isn’t a comforting cover, to say the least.

10. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

I Hunt Killers
Not as creepy as some of the other books on here, but still pretty creepy!

So there we have it! I think I’m kind of reconsidering this whole theme because some of these covers are majorly creepy… I may have a tolerance for horror at times, but let’s just say I’m going to be staying away from a lot of these books.

So anyway. I managed to make this list without completely flinching and hiding away in terror, so tell me;

What do you think of these covers? Which ones could you handle? Which ones made you cower away? What topic did you choose for this week’s TTT? (Feel free to link it if you want!)

Let me know whatever thoughts you may have down below, I’d love to know what you think! And while we’re at it…

BOO!

(Predictable, I know, but you know I had to!)

Enjoy your day! ❤

Until the Next Meal, Analee
