It’s Tuesday once again, and that means it’s time for a Top Ten Tuesday, a meme from the wonderful bloggers over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is a Halloween freebie:
Halloween themed freebie — your choice (ie. 10 best ghost stories, 10 things that scare you in books, 10 literary Halloween costumes, 10 vampire novels, 10 books that WILL scare you, 10 non-scary books for Halloween, 10 scariest covers, etc.)
I’ve decided to go with top 10 creepy covers! There are so many of them out there, I decided to spotlight a few and make a list out of it. I haven’t read any of these, by the way, so I’m not going to be going into much detail about why I chose the covers… not that I should need much explaining, if the covers are doing their job! (Also, I’m warning you. Some of these are pretty creepy, so if you do somehow get freaked out, please don’t come and murder me out of revenge? I’m only half-joking. :P) Let’s get on with it, shall we?
1. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

2. Asylum by Madeleine Roux

3. The Fury by Alexander Gordon Smith

4. Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick

5. Engines of the Broken World by Jason Vanhee

6. The Suffering by Rin Chupeco

7. The Possession of Cassie Quinn by Kathryn Knutson

8. Dead City by Joe McKinney

9. Shutter by Courtney Alameda

10. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

So there we have it! I think I’m kind of reconsidering this whole theme because some of these covers are majorly creepy… I may have a tolerance for horror at times, but let’s just say I’m going to be staying away from a lot of these books.
So anyway. I managed to make this list without completely flinching and hiding away in terror, so tell me;
What do you think of these covers? Which ones could you handle? Which ones made you cower away? What topic did you choose for this week’s TTT? (Feel free to link it if you want!)
Let me know whatever thoughts you may have down below, I’d love to know what you think! And while we’re at it…
BOO!
(Predictable, I know, but you know I had to!)
Enjoy your day! ❤
I sure as hell don’t want to see the covers of Asylum or Shutter in the dead of night. NOPE!
I’ve listed some books to read:

Just by looking at these covers give me the creeps, mostly the Asylum! Definitely not going to read any of this and will never be. I’m not really a fan of horror, ugh. Good luck to everyone reading this!

OHMYGOSH The Possession of Cassie Quinn has the scariest cover for sure! Children are just terrifying normally even without being possessed.
I think you may have seen my list of scariest books already, but I’ll throw it up here if anyone else wants to see! http://nikolieolieoh.com/2015/10/27/top-ten-tuesday-the-scariest-books-ive-ever-read/

Haha yes, possessed children are the worst!! The way they’re portrayed is always spine-chillingly creepy.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your link! ❤ Happy reading (and early Halloween)!

So I saw The Fury cover and wasn’t sure what I was looking at at first with all the dark colors etc and then I focused on the eyes and my heart I think may have stopped in terror, I’m not even kidding, I’m a huge scared-y cat. My TTT this week was bookish costumes to wear and I def stayed away from any that were scary bc I can’t handle that stuff! Lol. My daughter has bigger cajones than me when it comes to ghosts and stuff, and she’s four. #chickenhawk

No worries! You’re not alone there, when I first saw this cover while scrolling through Goodreads, I completely freaked out, haha. And although I have a tolerance for horror (depending on the situation), it’s not something I’m totally comfortable with either. 😉 Horror is definitely something that’s not for everybody. Thanks for commenting and checking out this post despite the creepy covers! ❤
