Thought of the day: It’s hot today and I really really want ice cream.
Hiiii everyone!! How are you all today? Today I’m here with a blogging discussion, because it’s been SO LONG since I last did one and they’re so much fun to write! (Though half the time I have no idea what I’m writing, but shh. Minor details.)
So, I was glancing at my stats the other day, and I’m almost at 1000 WordPress followers?! I’m currently at 998, without counting my email followers. And gosh, I’m just so surprised and shocked and so THANKFUL, above all, that there are actual people out there who read (and sometimes even enjoy?? I hope???) my insaneeee sleep-deprived rambles omg haha. ❤
Which brings me to this post! I’m planning a follower-themed appreciation post when I hit 1000 (and possibly a giveaway? POSSIBLY. I am a poor broke bookworm, but fingers crossed!!) but for now I’m going to just share some of the thoughts I’ve had on blog followers and being a ‘successful’ blogger!! LET’S GO.Read More »
Merry post-Christmas & Happy Boxing Day! (And happy holidays, in case you don’t celebrate Christmas!) I was hoping to have a Spotlight Saturday post up today since I’ve missed doing those for quite some time but unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to write it out… the reason for which I will be explaining in a second. 😉 I might most it tomorrow though!
Christmas is over, but my family and I have decided to visit some of our family over in the United States; it’s been a long time since we last saw them, and we figured it would be a nice way to spend the week. So the past couple of days I’ve been trying to get all my things in order—seriously, packing is such a torture sometimes. The neat freak in me came out and I’ve been frantically looking over everything, making sure no one forgets anything, lol. On one hand, it means there’s a good chance we have everything we need, but on the other hand it means I’ve been really short on time… oops.
Right now our plan is to leave tomorrow and be back by Friday or Saturday. We’ll start off by heading to Boston, and after a couple of days, we’ll be going to New York..! Guys, I’m actually super excited because the last time I went to New York, I was, like, 5 and only wanted to go to the zoo… lol. I’m not quite sure how much time I’ll actually have to tour Boston and/or New York, but I have my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to visit at least some of the places on my bucket list—the Empire State Building, for one, OF COURSE.
I’m going to be trying to focus a bit on spending time with my extended family, since it’s been such a long time since I saw them, but I have a few posts I’m working on that I will hopefully get a chance to post over the next few days. At the very least I’m hoping not to go completely MIA this time!
I’ll miss you guys! But once again, happy holidays!! I hope you guys are all having a wonderful time. Feel free to let me know whatever thoughts you may have! ❤ Hugs!
Hey everyone! This is going to be a pretty short post, but I’m currently in a little debate here and I’m unsure over what to do, so I’m turning to you guys! It might seem kind of silly that I’m stuck over a seemingly easy question, but oh well. You guys all know by now that I can be really indecisive about things, right? 😛
So, I passed my Goodreads goal! A while ago, it seems. I didn’t realize for a while since I kind of lost touch with updating my reading status for the books I read, but recently I decided to add the books I had read over the past couple of months to my Goodreads shelf. And so I found that I have passed my goal of 150 books—by give or take 10 books! I definitely didn’t expect that. But now, I’m faced with the ultimate question.Should I increase my goal or should I just keep it at what I have now?? I mean, there’s still a month and a half left of 2015 for me to get some reading done, right? Not that school is going to let me do that, but you know what I mean.
Which is why I need some help. And some opinions! Have you completed your goal already? What did you do? And even if you haven’t reached your goal yet, I’d still love to know what you think! Tell me below how your challenges are going, and whatever thoughts you may have! I’d appreciate even the tiniest comment. 😉
Hello my lovely bookish blogging buddies! After a wonderful time spent in Mont Tremblant and Quebec (and even an unplanned trip to Montreal), I finally came back home yesterday and it’s definitely refreshing! I’ve had a great time with my family and visiting places around Quebec, but coming home is always a welcome feeling. 🙂 And I know I have lots of blogs to visit; it may take me a while to check out your posts, but I won’t neglect them forever! XD I know you guys have all posted great things and I really want to check them out soon.
I will be posting about my trip (with pictures!) sometimes soon hopefully, so stay tuned for that! That’s all for now, so happy reading and I shall see (not literally) you all next time! ❤
Hello my fellow bookish friends! I just wanted to let you guys all know that I’m going to be going on a family trip to Mont Tremblant and then Quebec this coming week! I’ll be leaving this Sunday (August 2nd), and am planned to be back next Saturday (August 8th). So what does this mean for the blog? Well, I’ll be bringing along my laptop with me (I think) and whenever I get the chance I’ll be doing my best to post! I do have my Top Ten Tuesday scheduled, but other than that, I can’t predict whether I’ll be able to do weekly memes. Sorry!
As for reviews, I will be trying my best to write up a couple, but I can’t guarantee anything much, other than a few blog tour reviews. However, I will be doing lots of reading (I will have a lot of time in the car!) while on the trip, so afterwards I will be having several reviews up. If I’m not too tired to write them up, that is. Here’s hoping!
Also, I will (hopefully) not disappear from the blogosphere; luckily I will have free Wifi in the hotel we’re staying at (Oh Wifi, how shall I ever live without thou!) and I will do my best to check out other blogs whenever I get the chance. But I might not be able to do so frequently, so do not be alarmed if you get a bunch of comments from me the following week instead. XD
So that’s it, folks! I hope you are all enjoying your summer! (Unless it’s winter or something for you, in which case, I hope you’re enjoying your current season.)
Hello! I’m sorry I haven’t been so active lately, things have started to get in the way. I’m hoping to be more active blogging-wise with a bunch more reviews coming soon! Anyway, I just wanted to say a quick little thank you to all of you who are currently reading and following my blog. I’ve recently hit 300 followers, and I’m speechless. I had never expected that to happen. I won’t go all teary on you this time, since I already posted a 200+ followers post when I was already nearing 300, so this post is simply, as the title suggests, a quick little thank you! You guys have all been so supportive and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better group of blogging buddies and friends. So thank you all so much!
I hope you guys have had a great weekend! I’ll see you all here tomorrow. 🙂
Hello! This is going to be a quick post. I just really need your opinion on something! 🙂
As most of you know, I participate in several weekly memes; Top Ten Tuesday, Teaser Tuesday, WWW Wednesday, That’s What He Said Thursday and Friday Finds. I really enjoy participating in all of these, but I think they sometimes get in the way of reviewing and my schedule. Now, what I need your help with is: I have been debating whether or not to quit the TWHST meme. I do have lots of fun finding quotes from one of the special guys to his heroine, but… I don’t know. The other memes I really enjoy doing, and I don’t really feel like quitting those. Not that I want to quit TWHST, but… you see my dilemma here?
Which is why, I thought, why not ask you guys? Out of all the memes I currently participate in, which one do you think I should quit? Or, what I really mean is, which meme do you not care for as much? Should I quit TWHST? I’d consider it a huge favor if you commented what you think I should do below.
Hello bookworms! I’m here to announce that for all of you who are planning to read along with me and the girls @ Bibliophile Gathering, that we are starting TODAY! So get your copies of A Court of Thorns and Roses and let’s read!
This read along will be starting today and will continue for the duration of June, so that gives you plenty of time to read the book over the month.
At the endof the month, we will be coming together to discuss our thoughts, through reviews, discussions, etc. However you guys would like to do it.
I will personally be uploading my review along with a separate post completely dedicated to all of you who joined in the read along – I will have generated some question/discussion topics so we can go crazy with discussion in the comments!
Hey to all readers out there! Welcome to my blog, where I’ll be writing review of books I’ve read and recommend! If I hated or disliked a book, I will most probably not even write about it, unless it’s well known and popular. No offense intended to anyone who loves a book/series that I’ve disliked, just stating my opinion!
I read a variety of genres of books, so no matter what genre books you like, you will probably have at least a couple of books in that genre (except maybe horror and historical fiction; I don’t read much of those.)
Also, feel free to drop in some book recommendations in the ‘Recommendations‘ page! If there is a specific book or series you would like to see a review on, also feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment on my ‘About‘ page. If you’re an author/publisher with a review request, head over to my Review Policy to assure I qualify for your needs. Stay tuned, and happy readings!
