Recent Updates: New meme!

I know, I know. Another meme? Why? I have no idea. I already have tons! But just for some extra fun I decided I want to add more memes. I probably will abandon some anyway when my work starts piling really high, but for now, I’ll manage. 🙂

So one of them is a popular one I’ve noticed; Exploring My Bookshelves hosted by Victoria @ Addlepates & Book Nerds.

For this meme, we have to:

1. Post a picture of our bookshelves (preferably literal, but e-book shelves work too)

2. Follow the theme/question about the books on our shelf that Victoria will have set out for us for that week. (Eg. favorite author, cover, etc.)

3. Include the cover and what we thought of it (if it’s read).

4. Link our post!

So, the themes/questions set are:

17th April: something set somewhere very different to where you live

24th April: characters you want to bring to life

1st May: your most borrowed book

8th May: your least borrowed book (or one you couldn’t bear to trust others with)

This seemed lots of fun, so I decided to do it! Post coming soon!

So, that’s it for this time, Book Snackers! I’ll be posting my first Exploring My Bookshelves post soon, so keep an eye out for that! 😉

See you next time!

New Updates: Weekly Bookish Memes!

Hey everyone! Some new Book Snacks updates are underway!

Apart from Top 10 Tuesdays (a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish), I will be starting Teaser Tuesdays, a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading/A Daily Rhythm, as well as WWW Wednesdays, also hosted by MizB. I will also be doing That’s What He Said Thursday, a weekly meme hosted by Chapter Break.  And lastly, I will be starting Friday Finds, (again, hosted by MizB).

What are these memes?

Teaser Tuesdays: Like mentioned above, Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB. All we have to do is (Rules from A Daily Rhythm):

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Be careful not to include spoilers (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesdays participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

WWW Wednesdays: This is a pretty simple meme, also hosted by MizB, like mentioned above. All we have to do is answer the following questions:

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

That’s What He Said Thursday: Also pretty simple, this meme is hosted by Chapter Break (as mentioned above), and what we have to do is post a favorite line from your book boyfriend to his heroine. These are direct quotes from dialogue in a book, and can be anything he said, not only something romantic.

Friday Finds: In this meme (hosted by MizB), we simply shows the books we’ve discovered and added to our To Be Read list (TBR).

I’m looking forward to doing these memes, and I hope you will enjoy them! Feel free to do your own, just make sure to link back to their hosts. See you next time!
