WWW Wednesday #32 (November 11th, 2015)

Hello bookworms! Can you guess what day it is today?? (If you guess Remembrance Day, then you aren’t wrong, but…) It’s Wednesday once again and that means it’s time for another… (Do I even need to tell you) WWW Wednesday!

Feel free to join in on the meme (hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words) by answering the three questions below:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I’ve decided to start A Madness So Discreet this week seeing how it’s a library book and I want to make sure I have the time to finish it! I’m not too far into it yet (thanks, school) but it’s pretty good so far!

I’m still in the process of completing my re-read of Eternal, but I have my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to finish it this week! There’s not that much left of it.

Recently Finished

Library of Souls was a great read! I’ve kind of lost my touch with creepy stories (AKA I’ve become more of a scared-y cat) since the last time I read a creepy story was probably at the beginning of this year. XD So this turned out to be a really chilling read for me, and I loved it!

Cress was a last minute addition to my reading this week! I decided, since Winter is being released soon, I should re-read Cress so I have more of a clear view of everything that has happened. I would’ve re-read the whole series but I didn’t have the time. And re-reading Cress was, of course, an amazing experience. (AND NOW WINTER IS HERE YAYYYY!!!)

Read Next

I will definitely be reading Winter as soon as possible! I mean, come on guys. IT’S FINALLY HERE. *Dances around crazily* I’m hoping my recent habit (of reading newly released books a month or so later) will not intrude here.

Unspoken is the conclusion to the Shadow Falls After Dark series, and after I’m finished Eternal, I will definitely try to get to this. Equally sad and excited to read it! 😉

The Weight of Feathers, The Dead House, and, as usual, Ink And Bone are still on my read next, and although I don’t know if I’ll manage to get to these, I will certainly try! (But I think we all know it ain’t gonna happen this week…sadly.)

So that’s it for this week’s reading! Now it’s your turn to talk—though I know you guys would love it if I talked all the time—by telling me: What do you think, what you’re reading this week, and whatever thought you may have! (And don’t feel shy to stop by to say hello! <3) Also feel free to link your WWW posts as well, I’d love to come check them out.

Happy Wednesday, and for those of you in Canada, remember to wear your poppies!

Until the Next Meal, Analee

WWW Wednesday #31 (November 4th, 2015)

It’s Wednesday once again, which means it’s time for another WWW Wednesday! It’s been pretty hard this week to find time to read, but I’ve managed so far…somehow.

Feel free to join in on the meme (hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words) by answering the three questions below:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

-I’m almost finished Library of Souls; I wasn’t really planning on starting Eternal, but I started it yesterday afternoon since I didn’t have my copy of Library of Souls and only had my e-reader with me. But anyway, I can’t wait to finish LoS!

-As for Eternal (which is a reread, by the way), I’m not too far into it yet since I’ve been pretty busy as well as since I have been concentrating on finishing LoS. But I’m liking it!

Recently Finished

-A Monster Calls was one of my last reads of October, and it was amazing! I loved it so much, it was a great book. Gripping story, with incredible writing and the illustrations were an added bonus. I’m hoping to have a review up on it soon after I get some ARC reviews out of the way!

-Ice Like Fire is the sequel to Snow Like Ashes, and although it had some iffy parts of it, I still really liked it. Now it’s just the torture of waiting for the last book to come out that’s bothering me!

Read Next

-Ink and Bone is on my list once again for this week’s Read Next (honestly, I don’t even know why I keep putting this on here seeing how I seem to have no particular inclination to try it out at this time)! Surprise surprise. I keep telling myself I’ll read it, but I never seem to…

-I recently found A Madness So Discreet at the library so I’m thinking of giving it a shot this week, if I get the time. It seems really good so I am looking forward to reading it! Also, the cover looks pretty cool. XD

-I am attempting to reduce the amount of unread books I own (not that it’s working, but let’s ignore that), and so I have decided to add The Weight of Feathers to this week’s Read Next! I don’t think I’ll be able to get around to this one, but I hope I can.

-The Dead House has been a popular October read! The time for spooky stories has kind of passed by now, but better late than never, right? It seems pretty good and I guess I’ll be putting my scare-tolerance to the test with this one!

So, what do you think of my reading choices? (Because, me being me, I need—and love to hear—your opinions! :P) What book should I read next? What are you reading this week? Feel free to link your WWW if you have one!

Until the Next Meal, Analee

WWW Wednesday #30 (October 28th, 2015)

Hello everyone! I shouldn’t have to tell y’all what it is today, because I’m sure you know already. 😉 It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for a WWW Wednesday, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and is now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. To play along, just answer these questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

A Monster Calls

Apart from all my boring assigned reading I have from school, I’m currently reading A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, attempting to fit in a darker read before Halloween comes. I had told myself I’d get into more of the scarier books this month, but October is nearly finished and I hardly read any of said scary books. Oh well.

Either way, I’m loving A Monster Calls so much right now! It’s a very fast and addicting read, I’m almost finished it. Can’t wait! *Stares at book longingly*

Recently Finished

Carry On was fabulous! (But of course, I expected it to be.) It’s Rainbow Rowell, you guys, and seeing how much I enjoyed the three novels of hers I’ve read (Fangirl, Eleanor and Park, & Attachments) I’m glad Carry On wasn’t a disappointment. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to work on my review and post it soon for you guys!

Snow Like Ashes is one of my (re-) reads for which I actually managed to get a review done in time, you guys! You can’t even fathom how happy I am that for once I posted a review within a week of finishing the book. ❤ But anyway, the short of it is I loved it! You can check out all my rambling on it here, if you want.

Reborn is another re-read of mine, one that I thoroughly enjoyed! I feel as if this series isn’t talked about as much when it really should be, so I’m taking this chance to recommend it to y’all, and its precedent series, Shadow Falls! Seriously, it’s great.

Read Next

Ice Like Fire is definitely a book I want to read asap! After my re-read of Snow Like Ashes, I’m itching to jump into it more than ever. I already have my copy of it, so I’m ready to get back into this world (if life permits it, of course. *Sigh*)

Library of Souls is my next read that I’m hoping to get to, since it seems like the perfect read for this time of the month. I really enjoyed the previous two books in the series, and I’m hoping this will live up to the standards!

Eternal is the sequel to Reborn, and although I’m not sure whether I’ll have the time to get to this one, I’ll definitely try. Right now I’m kind of delaying reading it since I’m trying to get a review on Reborn up before I read it, so… I guess I’ll see!

Ink and Bone is on my list again, though with all the other reads and with the fact that life my teachers are plotting against me, I doubt I’ll be able to get to it. Here’s hoping!

Ashes to Ashes didn’t even make it to my list this week despite being on my read next last week; I’ve kind of given up on reading it for the moment. I just have too many other pressing reads at the moment, you know? Hopefully I’ll read it someday soon though.

So tell me, what do you think of these reads? Like ’em? Hate ’em? Let me know whatever thoughts you have in the comments below! And don’t feel shy to tell me about your reads this week, or link your post. I’d love to hear from you!

Happy reading!

Currently Reading

Carry On

I started this over the weekend, I believe? I still haven’t been able to finish it, unfortunately (life got in the way, of course) but I do plan on finishing it this week! I’m really enjoying it so far! ❤

Recently Finished

Zeroes was such an awesome read! It had its flaws, but I still really enjoyed the book! It was full of action and the writing was on point. 😉 So much more to say, but I’ll save that for my longer rambling…

Vengeance Road was definitely a different kind of read! I think for the beginning of it, it could’ve been more fast-paced (but maybe that’s just me) and there were some little things I was a bit iffy about, but overall it was a good read!

Read Next

I’ve kind of given up on reading the first two books—I’ll read them though, I promise!—but I’m keeping them as possibilities! I don’t know, I just can’t seem to bring myself to pick up either of these so…

I have 2 re-reads to add to my read next this week! One of them is Reborn. The third book in the Shadow Falls: After Dark series is being released in a couple of days from now and since it’s been a while since I’ve read the previous books, I decided I’m going to attempt to reread the first two books before I read the third. Looking forward to it!

Also, the sequel to Snow Like Ashes has been released, and I am dying to read it! And although I remember what heppened in the first book well enough, I really feel like reliving it all, and so I plan to reread Snow Like Ashes as well, though I probably won’t be able to get through with it this week. Here’s hoping!

So these are my books this week! What do you think? Have you read any of them? What are your books this week? Feel free to link your post! I’d love to check them out. ❤ I hope you all enjoy your day!

Not far into this one yet, but it has potential! Can’t wait to continue and read more. Hope it turns out to be good!

Dumplin was a great novel, with beautiful themes and was a real worthwhile read. Very cryptic, I know but y’all have to wait for my review! 😛

The Last of the Firedrakes is, a book, I have to admit I was partially interested in because of the cover, and it too was really good! A very nice fantasy novel.

Read Next

Zeroes, Ashes to Ashes and Ink and Bone are all choices from last week’s Read Next! I know I won’t be able to get to them all, but I will definitely try. Carry On is a book I’m quite excited to read, I really hope I will get the chance! School and life always gets in the way, ugh. :/

So that’s my week in books! What do you think of my choices? How has your week gone by? Let me know in the comments below, and I’ll be sure to know your thoughts. 😉 Also, feel free to link your posts! I’d love to check them out.

WWW Wednesday #27 (October 7th, 2015)

Hello everyone! It’s a Wednesday, and you all know what that means! Lately this is the one meme I’ve actually continued doing consistently. XD Anyway, this meme was formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words! To play along, just answer these questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I started Everything, Everything today, and I’m a bit more than halfway through it right now! It’s a very fast read and right now I’m really enjoying it. I have kind of paused it so I can finish my older read, which is:

The Revolution of Ivy, which I started a couple of days ago. I’m almost finished it! I was going to try and finish it yesterday, but I had a lot of homework, so I couldn’t. Ugh, school. :/ But still, I’m excited to finish it!

Recently Finished

City of Fae turned out to be a good read! I was kind of skeptical as I read the first chapters or so, because there were all sorts of terms and weird things that were going on that I couldn’t get the hang of right away. But by the end of the book, I enjoyed it. More to be said in my review!

Forget Tomorrow was a very intriguing read, and was a very promising start to the series! I’m interested on seeing how things go in the sequel, which unfortunately won’t be releasing until next year since this book itself is being released this November. Review will be coming closer to release date!

Six of Crows!! I really enjoyed this book! Maybe it’s simply the happiness of being back in the Grishaverse, but it was fantastic. There were some issues, but still, they can be overlooked—for me, at least. 🙂

Read Next

From last week, I still have the following books on my TBR:

I’m still going to be putting last week’s read next onto here, although I doubt I’ll be reading Ink and Bone or Ashes to Ashes this week, there’s high chances I’ll be reading Vengeance Road this week.

And some new additions this week…

I wouldn’t say I’m in a more contemporary mood, but I guess I’m trying to get a lighter book in the first part of October, saving the spookier reads for later this month, you know? Plus I’ve been super excited to read Dumplin’ for a while now.

If I feel like it I’ll probably read Zeroes, or maybe The Last of the Firedrakes—whose cover is gorgeous—which I got for review. Either way, these all seem like super great books!

That’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! How has your week gone by? Have you read any of these books? Do you want to read any of them? Let me know in the comments below! ❤ I hope you all have an amazing Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday #26 (September 30th, 2015)

It’s officially the last day of September, everyone! And since it’s Wednesday, it means it’s time for a WWW Wednesday! Let’s get to it. 🙂

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. Feel free to join in by simply answering these three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Like Reawakened by Colleen Houck, City of Fae has been on my read next for quite some time (even longer, I think) and I’m so happy to say that I have finally picked it up! I’m loving the cover of this so much, and I hope the story inside will be satisfying.

Forget Tomorrow is one of my e-ARCs I have, and although I’m not too far into it, I’m liking it so far. It seems promising!

Recently Finished

The Book of Ivy was a great read! It’s a bit more slow-paced compared to other books I’ve read in the same genre, but it was quite entertaining and really has me interested to read the next book.

I finally got Reawakened by Colleen Houck off my chest! Honestly, this book has been on my read next for the past, like, 6 weeks, and you have no idea of how happy I am that I finished it.

And it was a good read too! I mean, there were several aspects of it that could’ve been done better, I would say, and it took a bit for the story to actually get going, but it was good. More to be said in my review!

Fire With Fire was okay. I kind of feel like I’m saying the same thing I did for the first book, but my feelings aren’t greatly changing. I don’t know. I still am not a huge fan of the characters, and this book just took things to a whole new level of different, and I can’t tell what exactly I think of it. Confusing, I know. Hopefully my full review will be more understandable!

Lightless is one of my Netgalley reads, which actually happened to have released yesterday! It was a very interesting sci-fi read for sure. I do feel like there were several parts that could’ve been shortened a bit and things, but overall it was good.

Read Next

After reading The Book of Ivy earlier this week, I’m definitely interested in continuing with my e-arc of the sequel and finale of the series; The Revolution of Ivy. I’m not exactly sure if or when I’ll be picking this up, but I do know that I will be trying to first finish up a review on the first book before I start it.

The third book in the Burn For Burn trilogy, Ashes to Ashes, is still on my read next this week, since I finished the second novel and want to finish the trilogy. With all my other reads though, I doubt I’ll be able to pick this up, but I guess I might try!

I’ve temporarily taken off Say What You Will off my read next this week (it was on my read next last week) to insert in Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon! It’s been so long since it’s been published, and I must read it asap.

I got Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine sometime last month, and although I’m not sure if I will pick it up this week, I’m definitely considering it!

Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman is another book I can’t wait to read, which was released early this month. I definitely hope I’ll be able to read this this week!

And last but not least, Six of Crows is finally mine! It released yesterday and I have my copy; I’m eager to dive back into the Grishaverse.

So that’s it for this month’s last and this week’s WWW Wednesday! What reads do you have upcoming? What are you currently reading? Have you read any of the above books? Feel free to tell me below, and/or link your WWW post if you have one! I’d love to come check it out. ❤

WWW Wednesday #25 (September 23rd, 2015)

Hello everyone! It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for a WWW Wednesday! This week I haven’t actually read that many books, but either way, let’s get to it!

This meme was formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. Feel free to join in by simply answering these three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Fire with Fire2

I was kind of reluctant to start this book, mostly because I wasn’t completely blown away in the first book and wasn’t sure whether I wanted to continue with the trilogy right away. Currently, I’d say this book is okay but I’m not that impressed by the characters and am quite unsure over the whole thing. I guess I’ll see how it all turns out!

Recently Finished

Never Always Sometimes_bookcover

I’m going to admit right away I’m not the biggest fan of this book. I just wasn’t feeling this one; I couldn’t’ find myself loving the characters, I couldn’t really invest myself in the story, because I just… didn’t. This was a completely spontaneous choice, and although I don’t completely regret it, I don’t think it was worthwhile either. More to be said in my review!

Read Next

I don’t know which book I will be reading next; I feel like going off my mood this week, but I will definitely try to give priority to The Book of Ivy by Amy Engel and Forget Tomorrow by Pintip Dunn, as well as Reawakened by Colleen Houck. Reawakened has been on my read next for weeks now, and I still haven’t read it. Ugh, it bothers me so much. 😉 Same goes for City of Fae by Pippa DeCosta, which, I think has been on my read next even longer than Reawakened. Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern is kind of a choice if I’m looking more for a contemporary this week (I have no idea where my mood will take me!) along with Ashes to Ashes by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian, which is the third book in the Burn For Burn trilogy.

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What books have you been reading now, then and next? Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments below! If you participated in WWW Wednesday, feel free to link your post below!

WWW Wednesday #24 (September 16th, 2015)

Hello! Welcome to another WWW Wednesday, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do to join in is answer three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I am actually currently not reading anything. I know! For the first time in a looong time, it seems. I did read though, throughout the week (though not as much as usual) but currently I have nothing. Still unsure over what book to read next!

Recently Finished

More Than This by Patrick Ness was an incredible read; I really loved it! There’s just so much going for it, and it was a very emotional novel.

As for Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews, I can’t really say the same, since I’m not exactly its biggest fan… I mean, it was okay, and a different take from the whole sickness theme in YA fiction for sure, but it just didn’t click with me. I’m hoping the movie is better! (Which is a pretty sad thought, when you think about it. I mean, the books are supposed to be better, you know? :P)

Review for Playing the Player by Lisa Brown Roberts will be coming soon!

Read Next

I still have not gotten around to City of Fae by Pippa DeCosta; to be honest, unfortunately I’m starting to think I never will! I mean, I will read it, but it doesn’t seem like I’ll be reading it anytime soon. Hopefully this week?

Fire with Fire by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian is the sequel to Burn For Burn which I have previously read near the end of August, if memory prevails. Burn For Burn did end with a cliffhanger that would usually be having me reaching for the second book asap, but for some reason I still haven’t gotten around to it.

Reawakened by Colleen Houck has still been left untouched! I really want to read this book, I honestly have no idea what has stopped me from picking this up way before. Fingers crossed I will read it this week!

How’s your reads going? What are you planning on reading next? What do you think I should read next? Let me know in the comments below—and link your WWW post if you have one! I will definitely check them out. ❤

Hope you’re having a great Wednesday!

More Than This

I’m currently reading only 1 book, which is; More Than This by Patrick Ness. I’m reading this book as part of a Goodreads readalong and so far I’m really liking it! (It’s Patrick Ness, after all. :P) Unfortunately I haven’t been able to read it that much, I just started school yesterday and things are bit hectic right now, but I do plan on reading it whenever I can!

Recently Finished

I haven’t been able to finish many books this week, for mainly two reasons; can’t bring myself to fully be into the story (call is a reading slump if you will, but I just haven’t been into the reading game as much) and also because as I mentioned, school started and I had been busy getting prepared, etc. But I finished 3 books, all of which I enjoyed.

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas completely turned everything around with the direction it’s taking, with the characters and everything! I swear, my heart probably broke 10 thousand times over and over. There are several issues I had with it, but I still really liked it.
As soon as I get reviews up for Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire and The Assassin’s Blade, I’ll be going in-depth of my thoughts on Queen of Shadows in my review. 😉

The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson is a wonderful book! I really loved it, and I can’t wait to read its sequels. The plot was so intriguing, and the characters and writing were great as well. More to come in my review (even though I’m not sure when I’ll be able to post that).

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider was a great read as well, it reminded me of both TFIOS and Looking for Alaska, but yet it still was its own story. It was a very quick read, and I really loved the humor and the characters.

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell was a pretty good read, although perhaps not a full favorite in comparison to my love for her other two novels I’ve read, Eleanor & Park and Fangirl. It still was a very entertaining read, and although I don’t have that many adult contemporary novels to compare it too, it was a very good adult novel as well.

Read Next

I still haven’t been able to get to these, and although I doubt I’ll be able to get to them all, I’m hoping I’ll be able to start and finish at least one or two of these. Not sure yet which one I should go with, but I do hope to read them soon! Any recommendations?

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! Let me know how your week has been and what you think of my books in the comments below! I will also be around checking out your posts, so feel free to link your WWW post as well. I can’t guarantee when I’ll be by, but I’ll try my best! ❤

Hope you’re having an awesome day or night, wherever you are! Happy Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday #22 (September 2nd, 2015)

I recieved my copy of Queen of Shadows yesterday, and immediately started it. So far, so good! Unfortunately I’m not that far into it yet, but I’m hoping I’ll get to read more of it today.

I started The Final Empire last week, and I’m still reading it. It’s not that it’s bad, completely opposite, actually. I had been reading other books, and I didn’t want to taint my enjoyment of The Final Empire in between so I took several breaks from it. But I’m almost finished, I probably will finish it before binge-reading Queen of Shadows, lol.

Recently Finished

Burn For Burn was a fun and enjoyable novel, although I did have some issues with it. Not sure yet whether I’ll be picking up the next novels anytime soon though.

Love Letters to the Dead was an okay novel, but I wasn’t a big fan of the main character, Laurel, and the story gave me The Perks of Being a Wallflower vibes. I love The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but the story for Love Letters didn’t completely click with me.

Red Queen is a good novel! I can definitely see what the hype is all about, but I did have several issues with it, that I will be touching on when I get around to posting its review.

Read Next

I still haven’t read most of the books on last week’s  ‘read next’, so I will definitely be trying to get to those. In addition to those reads I also plan to read More Than This by Patrick Ness as part of a September read-along hosted by the Bookish Nerds Goodreads group. I’ve been meaning to read More Than This for a while now (come on, it’s Patrick Ness!) and so I’m super excited to finally get around to picking it up soon. And as you can see I’ve also put Reawakened by Colleen Houck on there! I’m not 100% sure yet whether I’ll be picking it up this week, but I’m definitely curious to see whether it’s as good as it seems! 😉

How has your reading been this week? Feel free to link your WWW post if you have one, (and I’ll definitely come stop by) or simply tell me in the comments below. ❤ Enjoy your Wednesday, everyone!

WWW Wednesday #21 (August 26)

Hello bookworms! It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means—it’s time for WWW Wednesday! A meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words, all you have to do to join in is answer three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I’m actually not quite sure what to think of Love Letters to the Dead right now. I suppose I’m not really feeling the mood to read it, but I guess I’ll see how it goes. I’m reading The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson as part of a read-along hosted by two very lovely ladies; Josie @ Josie’s Book Corner, and Aimal @ Bookshelves and Paperbacks. The read-along will be held from August 20th to September 20th, and there is a Goodreads group if you want to join. I’ve been meaning to read this book for a while, and I’m excited to have started it! So far I’m really liking it.

Recently Finished

I finished The Night Circus earlier this week, and although it didn’t exactly blow me out of the waters, I did enjoy it. I found it to be kind of confusing though, its pacing was a bit odd for me, but still, it was a good read.

Joyride took me completely by surprise with a hooking contemporary romance story with themes of racism and family that I really enjoyed. It was a great story that I had so much fun reading!

Seven Minutes in Heaven was an interesting ending to the Lying Game series that ultimately left me satisfied, but kind of miffed that it took so long to get to the answer. But overall I liked the book and glad to finally have gotten some answers!

The Start of Me and You was another book I’m glad I picked up this week, because it is also a wonderful contemporary. I loved the characters and the story was just so cute with so many awesome themes mixed in. Emery Lord is an amazing author!

Read Next

I still haven’t gotten to the books on last week’s ‘Read Next’, Red Queen and City of Fae, so I am definitely planning on getting to those this week. I also had The Kiss of Deception on there, but I’m thinking it’s unlikely I’ll be able to get to it this week, so I left it out. I do plan on reading it sometime though! Extraordinary Means, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl as well as Burn For Burn have all been on my TBR for quite some time, I’ve been hearing a lot about them and I really want to see what they’re like! Also I’ve been on kind of a contemporary trend recently (maybe it’s a subconscious attempt on my part to prolong summer?) so these seem perfect. I’ve also been meaning to read more of Rainbow Rowell’s books, which is why I decided to add Attachments as well. I really hope I get the chance to read it, I really want to know what it’s like!

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! This is kind of late post on my part, but I was pretty busy today and I wanted to take a bit of time to update on my reading, so here I am. I am curious about how your reading went; let me know in the comments below or link your WWW Wednesday post if you have one! ❤

Until next time!

WWW Wednesday #20 (August 19)

Hello bookworms! It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means—it’s time for WWW Wednesday! A meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words, all you have to do to join in is answer three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I’m currently reading 2 books; The Night Circus and Joyride. I’m not that far into either of them, but I am enjoying them so far! The Night Circus has a very interesting premise and I’m finding Joyride to be a cute novel. I’m glad to see that although both stories are of different genres, I’m finding equal interest in both. 🙂

Recently Finished

I have finished 5 books over the course of this week, well, technically 3 because I finished Cross My Heart and Hope to Die (Lying Game #5) exactly a week ago (so I suppose it doesn’t really count as ‘recently’ finished) and True Lies is a novella. But we’ll ignore that, shall we? Cross My Heart and Hope to Die and True Lies were both very entertaining reads, and I’m looking forward to reading the last book in the Lying Game series.

The Sister Pact was an emotional story that I also enjoyed, and same goes for Until We Meet Again. I’ll be posting reviews later on but I really enjoyed them both. Confess is the second Colleen Hoover book I’ve read (the first being Ugly Love) and it was great. I enjoyed it more than Ugly Love, mostly because the plot and characters was more appealing to me. I’m so glad I decided to read more CoHo books, because Confess was a great one!

Read Next

My read next is actually pretty uncertain. The one book I’m really sure on is Seven Minutes in Heaven (since it’s the last book in a series) but other than that, I’m quite unsure. City of Fae had been on my ‘Read next’ last week, but right now I’m not exactly in the mood to read it, although I might later on this week. The Kiss of Deception and Red Queen are both super-hyped books that I’m excited to read, but at the same time I don’t want to read them because I don’t want to be disappointed, you know? I’m sure we’ve all been there at some point. Love Letters to the Dead is one of the books I’ve hauled in 2015, I think in… June? And it seems like a very interesting (but sad?) story, so I might go with that. But again, I’m not sure. The Start of Me and You also seems like a good one. But I don’t know. You see? I’m a mess. XD Being completely honest here: If any of you have any suggestions of which one to go with first, I’d be super grateful ’cause I’m stumped!

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What books have you been reading, will read, etc? Do you have any suggestions for which book I should go with next, from my list? (Because I’m quite desperate. haha.) Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear from you! ❤

Hope you have a wondrous Wednesday! (See that awesome alliteration there? :P)

WWW Wednesday #19 (August 12)

Hello and welcome back to another lovely Wednesday! And you all know what Wednesday means, I’m sure; it’s time for WWW Wednesday, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading; now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. Feel free to join in by answering these questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I’m currently reading 3 books, although I’ll be finishing Cross My Heart and Hope to Die pretty soon, as I’m near the end of it. The Sister Pact is also a very nice read, I’m around 30% into it and interested in seeing what will happen next! I’m not too far into Until We Meet Again yet, but it seems to be promising.

Recently Finished

I have actually been quite tired and busy this past week, and am quite relieved that I didn’t fall into a reading slump! I enjoyed reading all of these books, especially The Summer of Chasing Mermaids and The Wrath and the Dawn. I was worried that since the other books I was reading at the time were contemporary-ish, I might not enjoy the latter, but boy, did I enjoy it! It was an awesome read. Dash and Lily was also a very fun read. Pepped Up was an unplanned read, a review copy that had me pleasantly surprised.

Read Next

I can’t pinpoint the exact inspiration for these next reads, except for True Lies, Seven Minutes in Heaven (to finish the Lying Game series), and The Night Circus (was on my read-next last week). Joyride, Confess and City of Fae are complete instinct picks. Joyride seems like a cute contemporary and I’ve been meaning to read more of Colleen Hoover’s standalone books, and Confess seemed like a good one to pick. City of Fae had been pretty hyped up a couple of months ago (or is that just me?) and I’m looking forward to trying it out as it seems like something I’d enjoy.

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What have you been reading now, then and next? What do you think of my selection of books? Let me know in the comments below or link your post!

Happy Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday #18 (August 5)

Hello! How are you all on this fine Wednesday? I am taking a little break from my sighting around Quebec to take the time to update you guys on my reading! Let’s get to it—It’s time for WWW Wednesday, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. To play along, answer the three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I’m currently reading 3 books (kind of a relief after these past weeks of reading 4-5 each week, lol). I’m really enjoying both of them, and I’m constantly finding an excuse to read them! Even though technically I’m supposed to be spending time with my family and visiting places around Quebec, hehe. 🙂 The writing in The Summer of Chasing Mermaids is so beautiful, I’m loving it! And Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares and The Wrath and the Dawn is a really interesting read.

Recently Finished

I read 5 books this week, as you can see. They were all great, I’m happy to say! Me Before You was a touching and wonderfully written story (it managed to get me to shed a tear, actually! And if you know me you know how rare that is for me). Hide and Seek was thrilling and suspenseful, just like its predecessors. Your Voice is All I Hear is another great book, but my emotions are still a bit all over the place. And I was so excited to read Every Last Breath, I’m so glad I received it before I left for Mont Tremblant, because I got the chance to read it on my trip. It was really good! I would say I’m pretty happy with it.

Read Next

I can’t wait to start The Wrath and the Dawn! I wanted to start it during this past week, but I never got the chance, and plus, I wanted a bit more summery reads. I didn’t want to start The Wrath and the Dawn when I was in the mood for a different genre, it would ruin the experience. But I’m definitely going to be starting this book this coming week, I can’t wait! And Until We Meet Again and The Sister Pact are both looking great too. And as for The Night Circus, I think it’s high time I start this one! I’ve heard generally positive reviews on this, but there are some mixed opinions, so I’m curious.

So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What do you think of this week’s selection of books? And what have you been reading now, then and next? I’m running a bit late now, so that’s it for now! I gotta go and visit some more places in Quebec but feel free to leave a comment below with your thoughts and your WWW Wednesday!

Happy reading!
