♪It’s Tuesday, Tuesday… Nope, doesn’t have the same ring to it. 😉 But anyway! Hello bookworms! It is indeed Tuesday, which means it’s time, of course, for a Top Ten Tuesday, a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is :
10 Wishes I’d Ask The Book Genie To Grant Me (a new book from a certain author, a reading superpower, a library that is your absolutely #librarygoals, a character to come to life, to met a certain author etc. etc.) YOU DREAM IT AND THE BOOKISH GENIE CAN DO IT.
There are so many I can name for this! So are you ready? Let’s do this.
1. Own any book that I want for free.
This is a given, right? The wallet always suffers from buying books, which of course puts limitations on the books I buy, no matter what sale is going on! So it would be a dream come true if I could own any book I want, the moment I wish for it, for free. Every bookworm’s dream! ❤
2. Have a huge personal library in my house filled with said books.
Ahhhh, imagine, a huge, cozy library with reading chairs, and of course, a nice bed so I can read comfortably, day or night, with bookshelves surrounding me, which all hold my precious books… Oh! And also a fridge and some snacks in case I get hungry. After all, I really doubt that after entering this awesome library, I’d want to ever leave! XD
3. Give me the power to keep all books looking good as new.
You know those books you’ve had for a long time (paperbacks especially) that are simply in horrible condition, with broken spines, stained pages, and the horror you feel whenever you look at them? Yeah, that’s what this wish is for! Imagine if all your books—paperbacks included—were always in pristine condition, even after any damages it may have gotten? Ahhhh how amazing!
4. Make reading books a world-wide career for any bookworm (me included!)
Dream come true, right here! (Well one of my infinite dreams, of course.) This would honestly be the best job in the world (although maybe being a published author might come close). My life would be complete heaven, money-wise! Not to mention I’d definitely enjoy getting up for work in the morning!
5. Be transported into any book that I want, whenever I want.
Ooh, just imagine how amazing it would be if I could be inside a story, being whichever character I want, whenever I want?! Not only would that be incredibly epic, at least now I can kind of get some insight on why some characters are utter idiots…
6. Get my favourite characters to come to life.
..To get together for a Bad Blood music video replica!! Nah, I’m kidding for that one. But it would be so incredibly amazing if my favourite characters came to life!! That, of course includes book boyfriends—though I think I might collapse from excitement at that point—or even combust…
7. Have more time to read!!
There’s hardly ever time to read now, so yes, this wish must be granted!! I don’t care, stop time if you have to, Book Genie. That would be great, thanks!
8. Have unpublished sequels of books immediately after I finish the first book!
You have no idea how torturous it is having to wait for the next book in a series!! Or maybe you do, ’cause I know I’m not alone here! Aghhh I drive myself crazy just thinking about it. It would be so fantastic if I could have the sequels of books immediately after I finished the first book. Sorry authors, chop chop! Better write faster.
9. Meet a bunch of my favourite authors.
Although I’d probably have a seizure from too much excitement, this would be so cool! I doubt I’d know what to say either, but you know. I’ll attempt not to make a complete fool of myself! 😉
10. To have series covers match (and not change half-way).
It can be so annoying when book covers in the same series don’t match—or if the covers all change mid-way through a series. Like, no!! Now I have to buy the books again. Of course, when my Book Genie grants Wish #1 for me, money won’t be an issue, but still. Just make it easy on us, publishers/authors/cover designers. Please!!
So, Book Genie, this is my offering to you! I have given you my wishes, now simply grant them for me, please and thank you! ❤
And you, fellow readers! Tell me, what do you think of these wishes? Any of them a waste, in your opinion? What wishes would you wish to be granted? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to know! Love you all, I hope you all enjoy your day!
I think your number 4 is going to be on everyone’s list! lol. I know it was on mine

Haha maybe if enough people wish it, the book genie will grant it! (LOL I wish.) 🙂

I’m with you on your last wish. I hate when they change the cover halfway because then it doesn’t match and look pretty 😣

Yes, exactly. So annoying!! THE COVERS MUST LOOK BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER. 😀

I own a lot of not matching series covers… and even worse, some books in paperback and some in hardcover… I should have thought for that for my wish list… https://bookstogetlostin.wordpress.com/2015/10/20/10-wishes-id-ask-the-book-genie-to-grant-me/

I feel your pain!! I own books like that too… *Sniffle* And yes, having different formats of books in a series is such a bother. ❤

I agree 100% of this list, wishes well-spent indeed 😀 that combusting GIF is hilarious though! I’m sure I know that anime but I can pinpoint it right now XD

Glad you think so! XD Haha I know right, when I saw it I knew I had to use it. If you ever figure it out, do let me know! 😛 I don’t watch much anime but I feel like I’ve seen it before too, lol.

Yes the series covers!! I buy books from all sorts of places, including a lot of udes online stores. So frequently I have series with mismatched covers, paperback and hardback. I want them all the same dammit!

Hahaha I totally understand you!! It’s such an annoyance when the covers don’t match. I mean, come on, is it really that hard to have a series actually look like it’s a series?! 😀

Analee, I love all your wishes! Some of ours are totally similar. I especially wish for more time to read because gosh darn it we don’t get enough time to read! It’s so sad. 💗

Thank you, Josie! I just checked out your post, and you’re right! Great minds think alike, it seems! ❤
Yes! There's honestly no time whatsoever to read. *Cries*

Your last wish would be the perfect wish. I hate it when covers change halfway through a series. I wish they wouldn’t do that. I also hate movie covers. There’s no need for it.
#2 and #3 would be great too 🙂

Yes, it would be so awesome if it were ever granted. Come on, publishers and cover designers! Take note of all your readers’ wishes here! 😉 Oh yes, that is definitely quite useless and usually don’t look that nice either…
Glad you think so! I only wish they could be granted! *Sighs wistfully* ❤

I definitely had some similar wishes to yours 😀 but YES!!! on the cover changes. I hate it so much when that happens and I just don’t get it. Also, different sizes of books in a series. I just don’t understand.

🙂 Great minds think alike!
Right?! I mean, come on, it shouldn’t be that hard to have series covers that match nicely. Ooh yes, that one is also quite annoying, can’t believe I forgot that! It makes no sense at all having different sizes of books in the same series. -_-

It seems that way ;)!
Absolutely! I have no idea what the publishers are thinking when it comes to covers. It mostly doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

Great wishes! 🙂 Own any book you want for free would definitely be pretty amazing! Keeping books to always look brand new would be awesome too, especially those paperbacks!

Thanks, Ashley! ❤ I know right? And having my own personal library filled with any books I want would be an awesome touch, haha. ❤
Ooh yes, definitely, my paperbacks seem to always be in less-than-perfect condition, lol.

Oooh I agree with you all the way with all of these! It would be awesome if we got paid for doing something we love- footballers do anyway. And I never thought about keeping books good as new as a wish. That would be a very nice wish indeed

Glad you agree, Astra! 😀 Yes, exactly! Most of the other workers out there are doing something they love and get paid for it, so we should too! XD Yep, if only that wish could come true! It would be very handy, for sure. ❤

This is such a great list, Analee! I would love to have a job where I could read books all day. Hopefully, that can happen one day, let’s not lose hope! 🙂 All of those wishes, I wish they could come true… 🙂

Thank you, Marie! ❤
Yess, fingers crossed that this kind of job will someday become a reality! My life (and basically every bookworm's life) would be pretty awesome if these wishes came true, haha. 😀

#3 so hard. I always tuck a book in my purse or bag for when I inevitably have down time, but that tends to get them messed up even more, and I don’t have enough room (or money) for hardcovers, so they’re paperback, which means the covers and pages get roughed up even quicker…

Yes! It’s so hard keeping paperbacks in good condition, no matter how hard I try! And exactly, hardcovers are just not good for the budget, so the struggle is hard… If only my #3 wish could come true! 😉

I pretty much second all of your wishes but especially #8 (the one about getting an unpublished sequel instantly after reading the first installment)! I kind of miss participating T10T, and this (or I guess last actually) week’s topic was so original and fun. Loved your choices, Analee, as always!

Glad you agree! It would be so amazing if these wishes could come true. Oh yes, it’s a shame you’re unable to participate in T10T! ❤ I would've loved to see your choices. *Sigh* So bothersome how school always gets in the way! But anyway, thank you! ❤
