Hello! Welcome to another WWW Wednesday, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do to join in is answer three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading
- Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
- The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
I recieved my copy of Queen of Shadows yesterday, and immediately started it. So far, so good! Unfortunately I’m not that far into it yet, but I’m hoping I’ll get to read more of it today.
I started The Final Empire last week, and I’m still reading it. It’s not that it’s bad, completely opposite, actually. I had been reading other books, and I didn’t want to taint my enjoyment of The Final Empire in between so I took several breaks from it. But I’m almost finished, I probably will finish it before binge-reading Queen of Shadows, lol.
Recently Finished
- Burn For Burn by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian
- Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira
- Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Burn For Burn was a fun and enjoyable novel, although I did have some issues with it. Not sure yet whether I’ll be picking up the next novels anytime soon though.
Love Letters to the Dead was an okay novel, but I wasn’t a big fan of the main character, Laurel, and the story gave me The Perks of Being a Wallflower vibes. I love The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but the story for Love Letters didn’t completely click with me.
Red Queen is a good novel! I can definitely see what the hype is all about, but I did have several issues with it, that I will be touching on when I get around to posting its review.
Read Next
- More Than This by Patrick Ness
- Attachments by Rainbow Rowel
- City of Fae by Pippa DeCosta
- Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider
- Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
- Reawakened by Colleen Houck
I still haven’t read most of the books on last week’s ‘read next’, so I will definitely be trying to get to those. In addition to those reads I also plan to read More Than This by Patrick Ness as part of a September read-along hosted by the Bookish Nerds Goodreads group. I’ve been meaning to read More Than This for a while now (come on, it’s Patrick Ness!) and so I’m super excited to finally get around to picking it up soon. And as you can see I’ve also put Reawakened by Colleen Houck on there! I’m not 100% sure yet whether I’ll be picking it up this week, but I’m definitely curious to see whether it’s as good as it seems! 😉
How has your reading been this week? Feel free to link your WWW post if you have one, (and I’ll definitely come stop by) or simply tell me in the comments below. ❤ Enjoy your Wednesday, everyone!
Great post! I’m really interested in knowing what issues you had with Red Queen, and Burn for Burn. I will be looking out for those reviews! 😀

Ahh Queen Of Shadows, I need to get a copy ASAP! I have Love Letters To The Dead, More Than This and Extraordinary Means on my TBR pile and I want to get a copy of Attachments and Reawakened soon. I’m also looking forward to read what you think of Me And Earl And The Dying Girl! I’m still not sure I actually liked that one, although it’s a very original read.
Happy Wednesday! ❤

Yess! I really can’t wait to see what you think of QoS. I myself liked it, but it really took me aback a bit and I shall warn you; it’s taking the series in a whole new direction, that’s for sure! I finished Extraordinary Means and Attachments, and I liked both of them, they were both very entertaining reads! And I’m currently reading Me And Earl and the Dying Girl, it is definitely an original read! I’m liking it so far. 🙂

I feel the same way about Red Queen. As for Burn for Burn, I quite enjoyed it but was meh also about reading the next. Then I saw it at Bookoutlet for like $2 so I was like yup ok!

Glad to see I’m not the only one! 🙂 Ha ha I myself own the sequel already, so I guess now it’s just a question of reading it! I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you think of the sequel once you read it. (Or have you read it already?) ❤

I just finished Queen of Shadows and I’m currently reading Final Empire too. I had the same reaction to Burn for Burn. It was good but there were some issues. Here’s my post : https://alextheshadowgirl.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/www-wednesday-september-2nd-2015

What did you think of Queen of Shadows? 🙂 It really changed things up, some good some bad, although overall I enjoyed it. Glad to see I’m not the only one who felt that way about Burn For Burn. ❤ Happy reading!

Looking forward to your review of Red Queen. Like you, I thought it was good but I had issues. I still haven’t read Throne of Glass (I know, I’m so behind!) so I’m going to be steering clear of all word about Queen of Shadows (spoilers!).
I know it’s late, but here’s my WWW: https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/www-wednesday-2nd-september-2015/

Ha ha no worries, though I do hope you get around to reading the ToG series soon! I’d love to know what you think of it. 😉
Nah, I’m the one late right now… 1 week, to be exact… oops! ❤
