Hey there fellow bookworms! It’s time for a WWW Wednesday post, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. To play along, answer the three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading
- Yes, Please by Amy Poehler
- What You Left Behind by Jessica Verdi
- Like Candy by Debra Doxer
I’m currently reading 3 books. I’m enjoying them all, even Yes Please, to my delight. 🙂 Usually books like Yes, Please isn’t my thing, but I guess I’m okay with it so far. What You Left Behind is an e-ARC I was approved for on Netgalley, and I’m also really liking it! I actually think I might be able to finish it today or tomorrow. Like Candy is a review copy and is also pretty good! This week’s current reads are looking pretty good so far, thankfully! 🙂
Recently Finished
I finished 6 books throughout this week:
- Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
- Spellbinder by C.C. Hunter
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
- The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak
- Two Truths and a Lie by Sara Shepard
- The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold
- Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout
Oh god, just looking at this list shows me how behind on my reviews. In my defense though, I have lots of books I’m reading! But still. No excuse for my slacking…again. Either way, I enjoyed most of these, although The Almost Moon & Hello, I Love You are… still under debate, let’s say. It took me a LONG time (like, REALLY LONG) to get through The Almost Moon. I don’t know, I had other books I was reading, and I just wasn’t in the mood to read The Almost Moon most of the time. Magonia, Spellbinder and The Heartbreakers, on the other hand, were super quick reads; they were all addicting and I finished them really quickly!
Read Next
- Learning to Swim by Sara J. Henry
- Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
- Hide and Seek by Sara Shepard
- Until We Meet Again by Renee Collins
- Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
- Made You Up by Francesca Zappia
Learning to Swim and Me Before You are both for my Popsugar challenge. After I read read those I think I’ll have only a few left! XD Hide and Seek is the fourth book in The Lying Game series, as I recently finished the third book, I felt compelled to continue with the next book! I finally got a Netgalley account (Yay!! I’m so excited!) and I got approved for an e-ARC of Until We Meet Again. It’s on my TBR and I’m super excited to read it! Simon vs and Made You Up have both been quite hyped up in the bookish community, and I really want to read them this week! I’ve heard such great things.
So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What do you think of my books this week? What books have you been reading now, then and next? Let me know in the comments below or link your post!
Have a great Wednesday!
I’m not surprised you’re behind on your reviews when you’ve gone through that lot! I’m enjoying Yes Please too – a nice blend of serious and funny.

Ha ha yep, I keep telling myself I’ll stop reading and work more on my reviews but it never happens…
Glad to hear it! I hope I enjoy it by the end of the novel, my guard’s still up, but I have my fingers crossed! ❤
And no worries, I actually just logged onto my account and saw this comment of yours, so I actually hadn’t noticed the wrong link. 🙂 Thanks, I’ll definitely check it out! ❤

Of late, since I don’t need to read things for classes, I’ve been reading for the blog I’m about to shamelessly plug, pbbpb.wordpress.com. I just finished Falcons of Narabedla by Marion Zimmer Bradley, I’m currently reading Beastchild by Dean Koontz, and I haven’t decided what comes next. Possibly some riveting nutritional information–I hear Kelloggs is pretty prolific.

I wasn’t really impressed with Magonia in the end… I couldn’t get used to the prose and the the fantasyworld was quite weird. I hope you like it better! 🙂

Aw, that’s too bad. I do agree on the fantasy world point, it was… different to say the least. 😉

Haha exactly! I was totally weirded out when I started reading about a bird flying down her throat and nestling in her lung. 😉

Omg I know right!! That was one of my “Ew, um, really?” moments reading the book… it was just so weird! That definitely could’ve been done differently.

I totally agree! It shows the author spent a lot of time creating this world, but I was mostly just weirded out by it.

Yes, the author did spend a lot of time on the world! It was hard to take in at first, but I got used to it by the end, I would say.
