Hi! It’s time for a WWW Wednesday post, a meme formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. To play along, answer the three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading
- Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout
- Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
- The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold
I’m not exactly sure when I started all of these except for Hello I Love You (this morning). The Almost Moon, I think I had been reading for 5 days now? And I’m still near the start of the book, I just can’t seem to get into it. Other than that, Magonia and Eat, Pray, Love are both pretty good.
Recently Finished
I finished 6 books this week:
- Lord of the Flies by William Golding
- Twisted by Holly Hook
- The Ugly Stepsister by Aya Ling
- Pretty Dark Sacrifice by Heather L. Reid
- Never Have I Ever by Sara Shepard
- Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Never Have I Ever and Pretty Dark Sacrifice were both earlier reads, I didn’t start them this week, but finished them early at the start of the week.
I do know I finished Lord of the Flies this morning (it was really good!) and Twisted yesterday. Clearly I have way too much time on my hands! Which is a good thing. Mostly. Considering how many reviews I have piling up at this point, I should really stop reading this many books…
Read Next
- Learning to Swim by Sara J. Henry
- Yes, Please by Amy Poehler
- Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
- Spellbinder by C.C. Hunter
- Like Candy by Debra Doxer
- Two Truths and a Lie by Sara Shepard
I’m still trying to finish my Popsugar challenge. hence the first three books. Spellbinder is a novella I recently acquired (you may have seen it in yesterday’s Top Ten Tuesday list) and will probably be the first one I start next. Along with that I have Like Candy, a review copy, and Two Truths and a Lie, the third book to the Lying Game series. (I have to know what happens!)
So that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What books have you read now, then and next? Let me know in the comments below or link your post!
I’m glad you enjoyed Lord of the Flies. I read it for fun in college and enjoyed it myself. Happy reading and thanks participating in WWW Wednesday!

I haven’t read anything by Alice Sebold since The Lovely Bones. I wasn’t as impressed with that book as many others were, but I’ll be interested to hear what you think of The Almost Moon. Maybe I should give her another chance!
Hopefully my copy of Yes Please will come into the library this week and we can compare notes 🙂
Thanks for visiting my post and happy reading!

Sadly, I don’t think I’m going to be moving on to The Lovely Bones anytime soon. The Almost Moon is alright, but I can’t find myself as into it as I would’ve liked, and I’m finding myself instead wanting to go to the other books I’m currently reading. I’m still not finished though, I hope that will change once I finish it.
Yes, hopefully it will! It will be interesting to see what we both think of it.
Thanks for visiting mine in return! Happy Wednesday! ❤

Ha ha yep that’s why. 🙂 Plus I have a lot of time on my hands. I’m not too far into it, but so far it’s a ‘meh’ kind of read. I hope I enjoy it more as I read on, but I don’t have high hopes. Thanks, you too! ❤

You should definitely read TLG series! Although I must warn you to read it when you think you’ll have more time on your hands, because the series comprises of 6 books and from what I’ve read so far, each book is quite addicting. 🙂 Thanks!

I read Lord of the Flies in my 9th grade English class. I’ve been thinking about rereading it lately because I don’t remember too much about it. My copy of Magonia is currently en route to my house and I can’t wait to read it!

I have the similar situation of too many reviews to write! It’s a good feeling but also slightly overwhelming. I’m gonna try to crack down on it now before I get sucked back into the books I’m reading. lol.

Ha ha yes, exactly. I honestly am thinking of simply stopping reading for a week or something, until I catch up on my reviews. Although I love my books too much to go through with that, lol. Good luck! ❤

I don’t know how you manage to read 6 books in a week. TEACH ME YOUR WAYS! and also, I don’t know how you can read so many books at once. Once again, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.
I can’t wait to hear what you think of Magonia! xoxo

XD Ha ha, just with lots of practice and a talent for multitasking I guess!
I finished Magonia today, actually, I found it to be quite an addicting and fast read! My emotions are still conflicted though, not sure how to rate it, lol.

I have a copy of The Almost Moon. I found it at Goodwill and was going to use it when I was doing the Popsugar challenge as read a book with bad ratings. Looks like it’s living up to those for you 😦 I haven’t read it yet though.
I really need to get to Magonia ASAP! It’s been sitting on my bookshelf for way too long now!
So many awesome books on your WWW post!
If I talk about each one, then this comment will probably be longer than your post ! haha. ❤

Yes, unfortunately it is! I just can’t seem to be getting into it; I’ve started it around 5 days ago, and I’m still not that far in. I can’t bring myself to get the motivation to read more of it. I hope you enjoy it more than I am currently if you read it.
Ha ha I just finished it, it was a very addicting read! My emotions are still very conflicted though. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you think of it!
Thanks! XD Ha ha, lol.

That’s how I felt with Paper Towns, so I decided to just stop reading it. I think I was just feeling in the mood for something different to read. I want to try to get to Magonia possibly next month.

I think I might have to do that for The Almost Moon, to be honest. I don’t want to force myself to read it, especially when there are other books on my TBR that I want to read. I’ll definitely come back to it, though, if I stop reading it now. Wait… I just remembered that I’m using it for my Popsugar challenge. Shoot. 😦 Oh well.
Hope you enjoy Magonia once you read it! ❤

Magonia will be one of my next reads! I’m looking forward to read your thoughts on Lord Of The Flies and Ugly Love. I’ve already read the first one last year and thought it was ok (they’re a bunch of seriously messed up kids though!). I’m still not sure if I want to read Ugly Love…
Happy reading and thanks for visiting my WWW! ❤

That’s great! Looking forward to seeing if you enjoy it. 🙂 I recently posted my review of Ugly Love, I’m hoping to have the one for Lord of the Flies up soon as well. Ugly Love is definitely a novel I’d recommend on a case-to-case basis. I personally really liked it, although the characters really irked me. If you like NA romance, I’d say go for it, otherwise you might have to be a bit more careful.
Happy reading to you too, thanks for visiting my WWW in return! ❤

Mmm, sounds like I will probably put Ugly Love on hold for a while longer… Romance isn’t really my thing. 😉

Romance isn’t for everyone, though I hope you enjoy Ugly Love if you ever get around to reading it!

I really liked it, overall, although I didn’t exactly like the main characters all that much. I’ll definitely be checking out CoHo’s other books though! I’m glad you enjoy her books. 🙂 Ha ha thanks! It definitely comes in handy when I have a lot of books to read. ❤
