Quite late here, but better late than never, right? For today’s Teaser Tuesday (a meme hosted by A Daily Rhythm), I have a teaser from Wash Me Away by Wendy Owens.
“I think I hear someone; we should get back to my bedroom,” I lie. I just don’t want her touching my mother’s dress anymore. A pain twists in my chest when I watch Julia haphazardly toss the dress back into the trunk. She slams it shut, rips the hat off, and we’re down the stairs and in my room in a matter of seconds. Julia is panting, watching me wide-eyed.
I peek out of the door and pretend I’m looking for someone, then quickly close it behind me. I think it was my uncle. That was close,” I lie again.

Oh, this sounds very exciting and intriguing! I want MORE!! This teaser makes me wonder what the heck is going between the two characters. Are they in a relationship, or have they just met? This sounds psychologically mysterious….. GREAT pick!! ❤ 🙂
