How I Read Book Tag

Hey there! I was tagged to do this by Emily @ Embuhlee Liest! I don’t usually do two tags in a row, but since I missed last week’s 100 Follower tag, I’ve decided to do two this week to make up for it. 🙂 So here we go!

1. How do you find out about new books to read?

Well, since I started blogging, I found out about new books by other bloggers’ recommendations. But before that, I often used Goodreads and my friends’ recommendations.

2. How did you get into reading?

I don’t really know, to be completely honest! No one in my family was particularly ever a reader, but ever since I was a little child, I always loved to read!

3. How has your taste in books changed as you’ve gotten older?

My taste in books has definitely changed since I was a child! I remember in elementary school, when I used to love Rainbow Magic books by Daisy Meadows… *Looks off dreamily into the distance* Seems so long ago! Now I love basically everything Young-Adult! After all, YA is life.

4. How often do you buy books?

Physical ones? Hmm… not often, actually! Maybe once every two weeks? When I do, though, I often buy a lot. (They’re on sale; I can’t resist!) I add a lot of e-books often though, especially with Bookbub. I would say I buy at least around 10-15 e-books every week. Yeah, definitely not the best idea if I want to save money for physical copies and other stuff…

5. How did you get into Book reviewing?

Hmm… I can’t really say, actually! I just decided to make a blog one day, since I felt like sharing my love of books with other book lovers, and so yeah! I guess I also wanted to try book reviewing because I wanted to get better at writing and understanding more when I read books; ever since I’ve started reviewing books, my writing has become more precise and interesting, and when I read, I’m slightly more critical. (Not sure whether it’s a good or bad thing, but it definitely made me a stronger reader!)

6. How do you react when you don’t like the end of a book?

Hm.. I guess I would usually rant to my friends and fellow bloggers! Especially if it’s a book that a friend also read.

7. How often do you take a “sneak peak” at the end of a book to see if there is a happy ending?

Never! Anymore, at least. I will admit, I have done that before, but they were long time ago. Now I’m a strong supporter of no spoilers! If I happen to see the end of the book by accident while checking the number of pages, well, it’s not my fault! When that happens though, it drives me crazy, especially if there’s a cliffhanger.

8. Who are you going to tag?

My next 10 followers:

I apologize in advance if you’ve already done this tag or do not participate in book tags. Otherwise, I can’t wait to get to know you more by these questions! 🙂 Enjoy!

And if you feel like doing this tag as well, but weren’t specifically tagged, consider yourself tagged! Don’t forget to leave a comment with your thoughts!

Happy tagging!

    • Thanks! Lol I did that before but I spoiled myself way ahead of time, and that was not that pleasant… As it included hair-tearing in frustration, and me going crazy to find out what happened. Hehe. 😀 Slight exaggeration, but you get the idea.

  1. I usually don’t like ebooks but maybe I’ll give them a try… They are a lot cheaper and easier to obtain. BUT PHYSICAL BOOKS LOOK SO PRETTY! Great tag!

    • Yep, they are more cheaper, that’s the main reason I have them. That, and the fact that it’s way more convenient to bring my Kobo with me than an actual book. (I don’t want it to get damaged, after all!) 🙂 Physical books are definitely quite the beauty, lol. There are so many great book covers out there too! ❤ Thanks!

  2. Thanks so much for tagging me! I really look forward to doing this tag~

My mom is a little addicted to book bub, I think–it’s gotten to the point that seeing her read a physical book is pretty shocking. Honestly, I prefer physical books, which is definitely more expensive, but I’d argue it’s worth it xD
