Hi there! Hope y’all having a good Friday! Today I’m here with a review on To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. I was technically supposed to be finishing the reviews on books I’ve read for the Popsugar challenge, but as I’ve recently finished re-reading this, I felt like writing a review on this instead.

I could easily give this a 5 star rating, because this book was amazing. I loved it. I literally couldn’t put it down, even as I was reading it the second time. I barely got any sleep! I just kept reading, and reading, and reading, even though I didn’t want to as I’d be left on a cliffhanger and I’d have to die waiting for the next book to come out (on May 26, nooooo).

Quick summary

Lara Jean has loved 5 boys in total. Every time, she would write a letter addressed to them, but would never mail it. After she writes the letter she gets over the boy, and keeps the letters in a hatbox. One day, when her letters are mysteriously mailed to their recipients, Lara Jean’s love life gets carried away… will she ever get it all sorted out?

Plot

I’ve been in the mood for a short and sweet kind of book recently (maybe for something to cheer me up over the stress?) and this was the perfect fit. There was just something about it that compelled me to keep reading, you know? There was just so much drama, confusion, chemistry between characters, and simply stuff going on, that I just simply couldn’t stop reading. I finished it in a matter of hours, and I was yearning for more so badly! Not to mention it was just simply so cute!

Characters

I loved Lara Jean. I mean, she had her stupid moments, and she definitely wasn’t perfect, but that just made her even more interesting to me. Her idea of writing letters to the boys she’s loved is also a creative idea that I really liked! I loved the interactions between her and Peter, and just her overall personality. There’s just something about her that made her seem like a breath of fresh air, and I loved it!

Writing Style

Jenny Han’s writing style was perfect. The story was written in such a way I didn’t even notice I was flying through the pages until I was finished. Everything just flowed so nicely, and was so simple yet so complex! Does that make sense? Either way, I really enjoyed the writing style. 🙂

Overall…

I definitely recommend this book! It was just sooooooo CUTE!!! ❤ If you’re looking for a fun, light romance read that will keep you constantly turning the page, pick this up! It definitely fits the bill.
