Hey there! I recently found out that Cassandra Clare’s bestselling Mortal Instruments series’ and Infernal Devices trilogy covers will have all been given a makeover! Here are the former covers, alongside their revamped ones.

What do you think of the new covers? I have to admit, they’re not that bad, but I’ll definitely still need time to adjust. Let’s just say I’m not the biggest fan of these covers… yet. Let me know your opinion on them in the comments below! ❤
Oh, and a little ‘Shadowhunters’ update-but-not-exactly-an-update: Katherine (playing our Clary Fray) hit the salon today to revert her blonde locks back to her natural red hair color! She look even more like a Clary now, don’t you think?
On a complete different note, I just found out about (thanks to a comment on my Shelf Candy Saturday post by fellow blogger, Alicia @ #Lovebooks) the cover and title for the sequel to A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray! It’s gonna be called Ten Thousand Skies Above You, and the cover is this stunning beauty:

The artwork on the TMI and TID covers is just YAAASSSSSS. However, I hate the font color and style. I’d totally buy the artwork as a collage or something though.

Yeah, the artwork is pretty boss, but the color of the font and stuff isn’t that good. The font color is just… Meh. Mustardy. Brown. Dull.😉 Thanks for commenting!

Yeah, TMI’s new covers aren’t the best…
And TID’s covers are better, however the problem I have with them is the font color. It’s just so… dull. But other than that, TID’s covers are pretty good! ❤

I didn’t comment on the font because they could be one of those books with golden fonts which appear as yellow in pictures. One of those books is P.S. I Love You, by Cecelia Ahern. If you Google its cover you’ll notice that it’s nearly the colour beige but it’s actually golden. [:

I love the TID covers more than the TMI covers!

Yeah, same here! For both covers though I really dislike the font color. It’s just so dull!
But other than that TID’s ones are better, I agree.
Isn’t it? And here I thought they wouldn’t be able to make another cover just as beautiful as A Thousand Pieces of You… seems like I was wrong! 😉

Yup! These two books are in my tbr and I can’t wait to buy them but I’m just waiting for the price to decrese a bit cause it’s too costly. I hope it decreases soon! 🙂

Yeah, I know right? White would’ve stood out, and better yet, wouldn’t be a dull, mustard-brown yellow.
Can’t wait till you read A Thousand Pieces of You, it’s amazing. ❤ But Thousand Skies Above You is going to be released November 3rd!! So far away! Hope you enjoy both books once you get to them! 🙂

I love the new covers! My favorite part must be how they each feature a character from the series! Totally agree with you guys on the font. Personally I prefer something more eye-catching, but that’s just me. The artwork is absolutely amazing though. ❤

I absolutely love the new cover for The Clockwork Prince!! There’s something about Jem and his violin there that makes me want to cry and smile at the same time. Weird, right?! Thanks for sharing this! 😀

I love the TMI ad TID covers! I think they’re more expressive than the previous ones, although I do agree about the font – it’s a bit boring. And I love how each book features a single character from the series… that’s really so cool! CoFA especially looks loads better after the makeover…

Glad you like them! Like I said, I still need to get adjusted to the change, but I already really like the artwork, so it’s a good sign! ❤ I would say I like TID covers a bit more at the moment, but both series' covers are pretty good. 🙂

Even I like the TID covers a teeny bit more than the TMI ones… both are pretty good, though. Like you said, the artwork is awesome and I definitely love it!

I actually like the new covers! I think they’re less cheesy than the originals lol. But the TID new ones are better than the TMI ones.

Glad you do! They’re actually not that bad, I guess I just needed to get used to them. And I agree, the TID new ones are better than the TMI new ones. 🙂 The only big issue I have with these covers is the font color.
It’s just so dull! I’m hoping that it’s just because it’s a picture or something… 😉 Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve seen these when they were released – they’re absolutely gorgeous!! I’m desperately hoping that they will have them in stock at The Book Depository upon release – otherwise I won’t be able to get my hands on them (which is devastating!!)

They’re starting to grow on me more, I’ll say that! I really like the artwork on them; the style of the character drawings and stuff. Hope you’re able to find them! If you do get them, be sure to let me know of the font color! 😉 (If it’s really the same color we’re seeing in the pictures)

Yeah, I’m not sure about the new covers for TMI and TID. Maybe it’s simply because I’m just used to the original ones? And the new ones seem a bit overly dramatic? Either way, I own them all with the original covers so it doesn’t really matter to me. xD
