Friday Finds #4 (May 1)

1st day of May! Whoo-hoo! 🙂 The time has come, of course, for another Friday Finds (check out last week’s one here)! I have many finds to share, so let’s get started. ❤ This meme is hosted by MizB @ A Daily Rhythm, where we simply showcase books we’ve recently ‘found’ and added to our TBR.

Okay, so, many of the books I’ve recently hauled are books that would qualify for Friday Finds, as I’ve recently ‘found’ them, so check out my post here to check them out!

Apart from that I of course have other books I’ve recently discovered, so here they are:

So that’s it for this week’s Friday Finds! What have you recently ‘found’? If you participate in this meme be sure to link your post, otherwise simply comment! Have you read any of these books? Are any of these books on your TBR? Please comment! I’d love to hear from you.

Happy Friday! #TGIF

Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick | Book Review

(Hush, Hush Saga #4)

Published: October 23rd, 2012 (originally January 1st 2012)

Synopsis:

Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank’s absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels – destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.

Hey there! Finale is the conclusion to the Hush Hush saga by Becca Fitzpatrick and since I’ve posted the reviews for the first three books, I’ve been wanting to finish this book and post a review for this one as well. 🙂 My wish has now been granted and I have finished this book, and am now writing a review. So let’s get started!

Note: I would not advise people who hadn’t read the first three books in the series to read this review because of UNINTENTIONAL SPOILERS. Spoilers are not certain, but there may the occasional minor one that some might want to avoid. Anyway…

I really enjoyed Finale. However, I must say, to be honest, I would rate this 4 stars, mainly because of Nora (which I will get to further on in this review). But because of my overall reading experience, and the great storyline, I was able to look past that issue and give an extra .5 star.Read More »

Exploring My Bookshelves #3 (May 1)

Exploring My Bookshelves is a meme hosted by Victoria @ Addlepates and Book Nerds. 🙂 It’s lots of fun, where we have to:

1. Post a picture of our bookshelves (preferably literal, but e-book shelves work too)

2. Follow the theme/question about the books on our shelf that Victoria will have set out for us for that week. (Eg. favourite author, cover, etc.)

3. Include the cover and what we thought of it (if it’s read).

4. Link our post!

This week’s question is: Most Borrowed Book

People don’t generally borrow my books that often, but the one that had been borrowed the most I suppose would be my copy of Divergent by Veronica Roth. I’m actually quite surprised my that fact, I didn’t expect Divergent to be my most borrowed book, but it is. It’s a paperback, and I can see where people had stretched the book a bit too wide, and I remember the times my friends had borrowed it, but it still surprises me for some reason. 🙂

So that’s it for this week’s Exploring My Bookshelves! What’s your most borrowed book? Does it surprise you like it did for me? Let me know in the comments below or link your post. ❤

Keep exploring!
